Proactive submission can help Google discover pages sooner, but it does not guarantee indexing or higher rankings. > Most users only need to add and verify the site, submit the Sitemap, and check important pages. Choose the verification workflow that matches your Creght website-building method. ## 1\. Prepare Before You Start - Your website is published and publicly accessible. - A custom domain is connected and verified. - Use the final HTTPS address, such as `https://example.com`. - In Creght **SEO → Search engine indexing**, confirm that the Sitemap opens at `https://example.com/sitemap.xml`. - Confirm whether the main address uses `www` or non- `www`, and consistently use the same complete address. ## 2\. Sign in to Google Search Console and Add Your Site 1. Open [Google Search Console](https://search.google.com/search-console) and sign in with your Google account. 2. Enter the complete public website address, such as `https://example.com/`, including the final `/`. 5. Complete verification as instructed by Google. If you are familiar with DNS, you can choose **Domain property** and enter only the root domain, such as `example.com`. Do not include `https://` or a path. For most users, **URL-prefix property** is the simpler option. ## 3\. Verify Your Site After adding the site, complete verification. On the Google verification page, choose **HTML file upload** and download the verification file. Do not change its filename or contents. 2. Create a file with the same name under `/public/` in the Creght code editor and copy in its contents. 3. Publish the website, confirm that the file is accessible from the site root, then return to Google Search Console and click **Verify**. ### Visual Website Builder For sites created with the Creght visual editor. #### Option 1: HTML Tag Verification 1. Copy the complete HTML verification tag from Google. 2. Open Creght **Site Settings → Custom Code** and paste the tag into **Head Code**. 3. Download the Google verification file without changing its filename or contents. 2. Save and publish the website, confirm that the file is accessible from the site root, then return to Google Search Console and click **Verify**. ## 4\. Submit Pages in Two Ways ### Option 1: URL Inspection Use this for your homepage, newly published articles, product pages, or case studies. 1. Enter the complete page URL in the inspection box at the top of Google Search Console. 2. Wait for Google to return the inspection result. 3. If the page has issues, fix them first. Then click **Test live URL**, confirm that the test passes, and click **Request indexing** again. ### Option 2: Submit a Sitemap (Recommended) 1. Copy the Sitemap URL from Creght **SEO → Search engine indexing**. 2. In Google Search Console, select the relevant property and open **Sitemaps**. 3. In **Add a new sitemap**, enter `sitemap.xml`. If the domain is not filled automatically, enter the complete Sitemap URL. 4. It does not mean every page will be indexed immediately. You do not need to resubmit the same Sitemap every day when new pages are added. ## 5\. Frequently Asked Questions ### Why is my page still not indexed after submission? Check the following in order: 1. Confirm that the page is published and publicly accessible. 2. Confirm that the address is correct, especially `http/https`, `www/non-www`, and the page path. 3. Confirm that the Sitemap opens normally. 4. Confirm that the page does not use `noindex` and that `robots.txt` does not block important pages. 5. Check for 404 or 5xx responses, redirect loops, or redirects to the wrong domain. 6. Make sure the page has a clear title, a clear topic, and useful content. 7. Allow time for processing. New sites and pages may need days or weeks, and Google does not promise a specific indexing time. ### What if Sitemap submission fails? Open `https://your-domain.com/sitemap.xml` in a browser and confirm that the address is correct and returns content. Then confirm that Search Console is using the same property and that the Sitemap contains complete HTTPS URLs. ### Do I need to submit again after changing domains? Yes. A new domain is a new property in Google Search Console and must be added, verified, and submitted with its Sitemap again. ### Will proactive submission improve rankings? No. Proactive submission only tells Google to discover or recrawl a page; it does not directly improve rankings. Rankings also depend on content, site quality, and Google's search systems. ### Do I need to buy a “fast indexing” service? No. Google Search Console, Sitemap submission, and URL Inspection are official tools.
